Continuously Updated World Ranking

Live world ranking as of any date, weighted by recent results.

? How the ranking works

A rolling 12-month scoreboard

The Continuously Updated World Ranking looks back exactly 12 months from any date and totals the points each athlete earned in that window.

It draws on the whole circuit — World Cups, World & Continental Championships, the Olympics and its qualifiers, and international series.

How a score is built

01 ── Where they finished

Every event uses the same base scale: 1000 for a win, 805 for 2nd, 690 for 3rd, tapering down to 80th place.

02 ── How big the event was

Those base points are multiplied by the event's weight: World Championships ×2, a World Cup ×1, the Olympics ×2.5, continental and international series below ×1.

03 ── Only the best six count

An athlete's six best results in the window count — and no more than three of those from second-tier continental and international series.

Reading the ranking

▸The rolling window in the filter bar above is the exact 12 months being summed.
▸CUWR points is each athlete's total for that window; top contributing results shows the three highest-scoring events behind it.
▸Tied places share points — athletes level on a place split the average of the spots they occupy.

World Climbing recalculates the official ranking every day at 00:00 UTC. The figures here are reconstructed from official results using the published World Ranking rules.
